Deep Sea Scouts proudly announces a competition for a Scout to receive a bursary to sail on a Tall Ship
The successful entry will receive a bursary to sail on any of the Tall Ships Adventures vessels during the summer of 2017.
All the Scout has to do is describe in approximately 300 words (or equivalent):
The benefits that I will obtain by sailing on a Tall Ship
The entry may be made in any form, but must be the entrant’s own work.
The applicant must be over the age of 16 at the time of making the voyage and hold a passport. This includes members of both Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network. You need to provide the name of your Unit or Network, and you need the support of your Explorer or Network Commissioner.
The closing date for applications was 31st December 2016, and is now closed for this year.
The successful application will be chosen by a committee made up of Deep Sea Scouts. In the event of a close-run contest, the committee may contact an applicant for clarification of any point.
The winner will be announced at our AGM in April 2017.
The successful entry will be invited to make a presentation to the DSS AGM 2018 on their experience.
